If you have opted for automatic renewal, the subscription will be renewed for the same period unless stated otherwise. If you opted for a prepaid package, you will have to renew it manually.
You can upgrade your product yourself to a higher speed. Via 'Product & Payment' you can upgrade the current product yourself. The price difference for the remaining period is calculated automatically.
f you have an active subscription, you can cancel it online via our dasbhoard on our website If the subscription has been canceled, this will be stated on the same page. We also send a confirmation by e-mail to the e-mail address known to us.
If a payment fails, our system will send a link by e-mail to make the payment. You can also log in to the dashboard on our website. You will immediately see the screen to complete the payment. Once the payment has been made the account will be reactivated.
If you have concerns about your subscription, please cancel it first via your dashboard. Once canceled, you can contact our support team for further assistance. Please do not initiate a chargeback, as this will result in an additional €15 fee imposed by the bank, which will be passed on to you. We're here to help resolve any issues directly!

Settings and errors

You can use these hostname in you client:

  • Flock accounts: block.cheapnews.eu
  • Flat accounts: news.cheapnews.eu
You can connect on the standard port 119 and on port 80. For TLS/SSL you can use port 563.
You can set it to 90 seconds, or 60 if connections are failing

A Cheapnews account will be assigned to one user, accountsharing is possible!

But your Cheapnews account can't be used simultaneous with full connections, however simultaneous sharing is possible.


For example: You have a account/package with 12 connections;

  1. Client 1: can use 6 connections and
  2. Client 2: 6 connections. This way you are able to download simultaneous from 1 Cheapnews Usenet Account
Spotnet users can use the login information as can be founded in the welcome email. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us. Our header retention is currently about 3000-4000 days.

If you are using multiple programs, you will have to divide the number of connections of the max ammount in your usenet plan.

Your newsreader may be blocked by your firewall / virus scanner. What to try: - Make sure your newsreader has sufficient system rights to make connections to the internet. - Check with your antivirus / firewall program if your newsgroups program is being blocked.
Something is technically wrong. This may be due to your newsreader itself.

What to try:
- Reinstall the newsreader
- Try another newsreader
There is no stable internet connection available. Check your internet connection.
